We have successfully returned to Austin from Seattle. Seattle was awesome!
Seattle is so much better than Austin and we want to kill ourselves now that we are back in Austin.
Here is a photograph of us in Seattle:
Very awesome indeed. Actually I uploaded the wrong photograph, but Jen did take a few and we’ll share them sooner or later.
Seattle! The weather this time of year is perfect. It’s like being in an air conditioned mall except you’re outside. It rained a bit, but not much. You could walk around in what little rain there was and it was no big deal. It never lasted either.
Speaking of walking, it’s a good thing Jen and I have been taking 6+ mile hikes around Austin lately because it prepared us for walking in Seattle. Our four day home base was downtown, and all of the streets downtown are steep grades. No kidding. 20 degree to 45 degree. All of them. Jen says 45 degrees is an exaggeration but I don’t think it is.
It was a small price to pay and we got used to it before it was time to go. I’m glad we were walking actually. Driving those roads would have really sucked.
We went all over downtown and to the ocean and all over the waterfront and we rode a faerie to an island. Jen says we rode a ferry. Then we rode it back and went to a neighborhood on a bus that had a troll. Then we went to the college area and dropped off zines at some comic book shops and weird places.
But between doing those things we stayed at this one girl’s apartment while she was out of town and it was in a building that had a security door and a lobby.
The public library was only like a block away and it is so awesome. It’s like being in Logan’s Run except the people don’t dress like that.
We walked a lot. It was really nice to step outside and not have water start running down your skin from just standing still.
Starbucks is everywhere! They had Starbucks across the street from Starbucks. They had Starbucks in every lobby of everything else and inside all things that would fit one. Or two! Starbucks was quite represented.
Unfortunately most of the city closes it’s doors early, so we had to take breaks, but we still found stuff to do even late at night.
I’m talking too much. Thanks for reading and we hope you’ll return Friday!

Wonder how much lattes McDonalds sells in Seattle.
Welcome Bearman! We remember seeing two McDonalds so probably quite a few but… Not as many as Starbucks! Also prominent was Seattle’s Best Coffee. What impressed us though was the large number of independent places.
Coffee, Starbucks??? I am getting confused again. Quick somebody get me a beer!!!

The previous comment was supposed to be from me not Wally, I forgot to change the comment form details from the previous comment
Hahaha! Welcome Wally! I understood Tony. The Harley Squirrel was for you. We appreciate you and thanks for reading and commenting.
It’s great to have your news! I’m so glad you had a happy trip!
Thanks LM! We went to Chinatown too. I forgot to mention that.
We’d like to do a Seattle travel journal zine, but I don’t know if and when we’ll find the time.
But it’d be neat.
Maybe.
Hahahahaha, Squirrel on Harley? Nice intermission time!
Thanks alecho!
