The New Beginning Page 22

The New Beginning Page 22

Greetings everyone!  By that I mean both of you.  Just kidding.  We have had a small amount of growth finally, I’m just not always very patient.  I am however, not altogether bright so… ButterSword continues to roll along in much the same way this week.  No animated cartoons just yet.

Actually I did take another step in that direction, but more about that later.  And now… a comic by Jen.

So I mentioned making progress?  Not really yet.  I tried one place for mp3 upload and I absolutely hated it.  One of those social network things.  More bells and whistles than a modern police car and the screen is busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger.  Besides… I’m a hermit!  I think I’ll look for another way.  Meanwhile here is an ancient attempt I made at internet socializing.

I can’t imagine how it came out tilted.  Does it look tilted?  I think it does…

Lastly today, another picture from our trip to Seattle!  With commentary no doubt.

Above is a picture Jen took inside the Seattle Public Library.  Or as ButterSword likes to call it:  The Happiest Place on Earth.  O.K. maybe not, but it’s f…ing awesome as heck.

The whole building is some kind of architectural wonderland.  It has so many nooks and crannies and angles and windows and escalators and views and wide open or secluded or… it’s really cool.  And it’s totally Logan’s Run.

Seating everywhere.  Electrical outlets everywhere.  Computers…

Everyone is quiet.  No one bothers you.

The only bad part is that it’s homeless paradise.  We’re considering living there ourselves.  One time I used one of the men’s rooms and some stinky funk was washing his bare legs next to the bathroom sink.  The stench made me gag.  I know it’s a public place but can libraries add stench-o-meters or something?  I’ve been homeless and when I was homeless I managed to stay clean.

Sorry sorry… nasty gross awful mention.  Otherwise it was ultra cool and recommended.  Highly.

Thus concludes our broadcast day.  We sincerely hope you have a wonderful week.  Thank you for reading and we hope you will return Friday.  Please contribute if possible for you, with a tip or a purchase, encourage with comment if compelled, or help us grow by voting or telling a friend.

Also… enjoy beans.  Beans are delicious.  Pintos are my personal favorite, but many, many beans are very, very tasty.

We used to have a bunch of pill bugs at the house I grew up. None here. I miss pill bugs.

  2. MC/Curtis says:

I can understand that. When I manage to escape the hell furnace city of humid that I live in for a time, I miss the Grackles of all things.

The pill bugs weren’t nearly as bad this year. No pill bugs where you live at all? Wow.

  3. Fredselfish says:

I don’t think it looks tilted. And that sounds like the best library ever.
Also I know a guy who live out of the bed of his truck. He was paying my dad 75 bucks a month to use the showers and he took over the club house over at the Rv park. Which was set up better than my own place.

  4. MC/Curtis says:

I’m pretty sure it’s tilted slightly. I can’t imagine how that happened, but I kind of like it.

The guy you mentioned sounds like pretty much of a mooch. When I set up our portable store downtown most people are too terrified to even look toward me for fear of being harassed by another mooch bothering them for their change. Plus all these mooches that live in the Wall Mart parking lots now just because it’s free will make Wall Mart take away the overnight camping from the rest of us.

  5. Tony McGurk says:

Uh oh this can’t be good for Jen. I don’t like the look of those alien robots. They could be frienfly but probably not
Never heard of pill bugs but I better get some beer just in case

  6. MC/Curtis says:

    Haha! Definitely just in case.

  7. George says:

Hmm…I haven’t seen pill bugs in a long time. I thought they stopped making them. :D

  8. Midtoon says:

At least they said and not

    * Translated from Alien Language.

  9. Midtoon says:

I meant to say at least they said “Step Aside*” and not “Die you rebel scum!*”

    * Now really translated from an alien language

  10. MC/Curtis says:

Something quite close to “Die you rebel scum” is actually next unfortunately for Ann.

  11. George says:

Beer has certainly been my cure-all for years. :)

  12. Judith says:

    I like the orange stuff…LOL

  13. alecho says:

Gulp… they look tough… will they be okay?
