Hello and welcome to Friday here at ButterSword. The fact that it’s also Friday everywhere else doesn’t necessarily apply, as it might no longer be while you’re reading this, or the planet may have been hit with a rock. But the fact remains that the author is typing at 1:28 a.m. so it doesn’t really feel like Friday even though it technically is. Plus the rest of the world is elsewhere. This is ButterSword, therefore it is Friday here at ButterSword.
And now… the next two pages of Cookin’ Good… In Space!
I really like the 3D space station by my good friend Chip Johnson. I added the cheeseball sign for laughs.
Also today, we bring you a Classic ButterSword Revised in black, white, and grey!
It’s true! It’s all true… I’m addicted to stone age computer games like Baldur’s Gate 2. I think they’re great. I also play Avernum. I haven’t played them in awhile but I have been working on the comics from when I last did. Now I long to return. I can’t though. Too much to do.
And since that fact exists, I will end this post by saying thank you for reading ButterSword, and we hope you will return Monday for the final page in our first comic book The New Beginning, as well as more comics and hopefully even a proper blog for once. Thanks again and have a great weekend.

Also, if you live in the Austin area, we’ll be at the 9.10.11 show.
Here is the information we have about it so far:
The show will be kind of an “all nerd type stuff” show. The Nerdcore hip-hop artists Doug Funnie and Damp Heat will perform, a tarot card reader is setting up a table, Shane Campos and his Shirt company, Racketeer Robot will be part of a live art show, shirts for sale, and more. It’s an outdoor event. Just a bunch of fun with people promoting their stuff.
We will have a flyer for it soon. CherryWood Coffee House on 9.10.11 at 9pm.

You did a good job on with the split panels.
I need to get myself one of those plastic swords!
Thanks Hjörtur. I’m thinking of upgrading to a little wooden sword, but the dollar store plastic one has overseen many a computer battle thus far. Also it’s recyclable.
Just don’t get too excited and swing the sword at your laptop.
If you have a laptop like mine the thought crosses your mind quite a lot. Not because of any game, just because of the piece of junk you’re using. But I refrain. I love that piece of junk.
Hmm… I also humanize my vehicle. I must have some new brain malfunction.
epicness
It’s true! I’m unsure it lends itself well to the internet, but… since it’s the way of things…
Regardless, it will certainly evolve. I’m thinking thoughts of issue two. Differences.
But regardless of pacing or balance or formatting… I can’t imagine that it won’t remain epic.
I’ve got a long story to tell.
Luckily I’ve got a lot of extra goofy stuff too.
You think I’ll play Fallout 3 better if I carry a plastic gauss rifle?
I’ve got something better! The link I’m providing leads to inexpensive step-by-step plans for a desktop gauss rifle you can make yourself that really fires.
http://scitoys.com/scitoys/scitoys/magnets/gauss.html
But the plastic toy couldn’t hurt.
I’m proud to say I completed Fallout 1! Man… that was a great game.
I dig the layout for this page. It coordinates perfectly with the action sequence.
Thanks George. I’m glad it turned out as well as it did. I started in the middle of the page not really knowing exactly and sort of improvised outward. Congrats again on 3 years and over 900 comics. Amazing.
MC, I like the joy on your face when you say hi to Jen. Cute smiles all around!
Thank you Laura-Marie! Wiggabajibbons! Haha!
I’m preparing some of the classics that are kind of Dungeon and Drangonish for a mini comic product so… a few more will likely turn up here in the near.
Love it love it love it. Can’t wait to see what else you guys come up with awesome. And I want to buy the New Beginning when you put it in book form
Thanks Fred. Awesome.
We still have one page left to create plus a cover and inside words and this and that plus extra bonus unavailable elsewhere ect.
Soon. It will be available soon.
That didn’t turn out very well! Maybe his gun was just set to stun?
That would be a good guess, but all will be revealed.
hey thanks for the complement onn my temple drawling
You’re welcome Mongoose. I liked the helmet also. I had an appointment, but I’ll look around a bit more soon.
that helmit my friends work which is why it in my favorits
Oh… I don’t know how to use Deviant Art too well.
thats okay I just joind this week some I’ve ben lurning alot
OK so Curtis got him but that SPEE-ARRR doesn’t seem to have been helpful to him…
The Spaceship & space station names gave me a laugh.
I guess the little plastic sword adds to the realism.
The sound effect was none too helpful for him. Correct.
The spaceship and space station names were after things Arcie had cooked on the show. Every week she cooked something and the aliens of that area love their show to the point their culture is affected by it. Plus it sounds goofy!
Maybe the sword adds to the realism. Yes. I guess it’s sort of a luck charm too. Kind of like when bingo ladies have troll dolls and such lined up on the table.
Thanks Tony and thanks for that reddit tip too!
I used to do a lot of running with plastic swords.
Hmm… that might explain a few things…
I did that too! At least it wasn’t scissors I guess.
I ran with scissors is that a bad thing
No no. It’s great.
Stone age computer games? I used to play Pong.
I did too. Pong was fun. Last summer or so Jen and myself and Kerri went to a pong tournament but we didn’t enter it. They had it on a giant screen. It was hilarious.
Oh oh oh oh! Baldurs Gate 2!!!! Yea! That was a goooood game! Brings make memories…
It’s one of my favorites. I replay it a lot.
If I knew computers I would join with all of these people who write aftermarket programs for it you can download for free. New scenarios and adventures and characters…
It keeps me replaying the game!
But… I know not a thing about computers.
