Hello everyone and welcome to Monday here at ButterSword. As you can see, I’m still finishing up the first issue, and what first issue would be complete without an early character sketch in the back? Not this one!
But no fretting! Plenty of other additional what-not today as well. Like this picture of Curtis’ rifle:
And more! Even though Cookin Good… In Space! has come to an end, the zine it was in continues. Here is another page from ButterSword: Adventures in the Land of Space!
Also today is this picture of a drill I drew in some college art class I took.
College was a complete waste of money, but at least I drew that drill.
Too much black and white today you say? What can be done?! Who will help us?! Luckily we have this treasure to present:
Just click the image above or here to visit Jenn Dolari’s Click-O-Rama for webcomics and more!
Lastly today we’d like to plug an upcoming gig we have scheduled for ButterSword. This time with a wicked-cool flyer.
If you live in Austin we hope you’ll consider attending. Austin could really use more nerd culture and this is a great addition as well as being the start of something new.

UPDATE: My Ratbags fan art is online at TM comics HERE so if you’d like to have a look you should and also check out Tony’s comics!

Now I have a comic book cover to design. I have something in mind already, and I look forward to sharing it with you Friday. I appreciate your patience and the second story will begin soon. Meanwhile… I’ll throw out plenty of extra stuff in the hopes of entertaining.
Thank you for reading and we hope you’ll return for more ButterSword! Help us out by visiting our sponsors, or voting for us, or donating, or commenting, or buying something, or emailing, or linking to us, or telling a friend.
Have a great week!

The rest is just Bullets???
Treated you like dogfood???
So even with 2 weeks notice life just continues as usual…
I’ll go check out Jenn’s site
Haha! Yep. Dogfood.
I don’t miss THAT old job.
Awesome stuff man. That was an awesome drawing of a drill you rock has an artist. And good luck on that event hope you sale out.
Thanks Fred!
Tell me what the Tarot Reader says about ME!!!!!
O.K.
I love that drill, Curtis. Outstanding work! You do rock!
Thanks Deb!
That drill is ridiculously awesome sir!
Wonderful line-work / built up tones… it’s ‘electric’!
Wow! Thanks SpilledInkGuy!
So, you have given words to the Zen approach to the working day: Work as if you had already given your two-weeks notice.
I’ve been guilty of that on certain day jobs that aren’t as labor intensive,
but it has it’s downside: Supervisors.
For some reason they (most of them but not all) only accept a sense of urgency.
Otherwise they don’t like you. Even if the work is getting done.
That’s been my experience at least. Watch out for those pesky peabrain supervisors.
Yes, very nice drill!
Thank you Binky.
Was that drill previously there??? I don’t remember seeing it when I left the 1st comic. Fantastic drawing.
You got me! I had meant to place it but had forgotten. I usually, although not always, change my post around for a bit after I have a look at it. I think you had commented just after it went online.
Thanks for the compliment! I think I’ll have to draw more drills.
I feel compelled to chime in and say I’ve seldom seen a more beautiful drill.
Thanks Laura-Marie!
It’s great getting to see the different artwork techniques you use. I love the Drill. It looks fantastic.
Thanks George!
Looks like batmans worst nightmare.
Curtis and Ann’s too.
I happily landed here via T.M. Comics. Consider me a new fan. Great stuff.
Thank you Young American Wisdom and welcome to ButterSword!
The cover art goes up tomorrow, along with some extras,
and after that we’re beginning our second issue/adventure.
You’re just in time for that!
Also I’m visiting your website right now on another tab.
Eeeee! Beans and Corn!
Might be time for a new movie poster for Ann and Curtis.
It’s a treasure of ours. Thank you Jenn.
I like the concept. Excellent job on the drill !
Thanks Hjörtur!
Woah! Really liking your drill picture! Good stuff!
Thanks alecho!
