What a week.
The 9.10.11 event was pretty cool. We met a lot of cool people and talked with some cool people we had already met. The musical acts were great.
We didn’t sell a lot but it was free and local so it didn’t matter. We sold enough to make it worth it and gave away some free promotionals. Hopefully we picked up a reader or two, but it’s Austin so we kind of doubt it.
We did make some good contacts we need to follow up on, and we may have some new opportunities to learn some new art methods.
Hopefully this event will happen again. It was cool.
We asked the Tarot Card Reader if he could do a reading for someone we knew on the internet.
Tarot Card Guy: Maybe. What’s the name?
MC: Bearman.
Jen: Hahahahaha!
He looked puzzled, but gave us a business card.
We met and talked to more than a few people that were completely full of s—. You would not have believed the lies that flew from their mouths that they expected us to sit there and act as if we thought the things they said were even remotely true. But… that’s Austin. A lot of people in Austin are completely full of s—.
Now then…
The cover is the best I could do with the time I had. I like it!
I’ve had less time lately.
Here are some Classic ButterSword Revised I found today that belong to a time theme. Particularly wasting it. Really it’s more of a computer game theme but whatever.
Classic ButterSword Revised
That third one was by Jen. She’s awesome. Anyway… The exciting first page to the second issue is coming Friday! We hope you’ll join us, we’ll see you out there, and we hope you have a great week!

I like it a lot, you did a fine job!! And I’m not from Austin.
Haha! Thanks Debbie.
So what the heck did he SAY??!!!
Haha! He didn’t say ANYTHING. He just handed us a business card. I’m scanning it in for you now. It should appear above in a few minutes.
Did he hand it to you upside down?? haha
Oops! Hahaha…
If you contact him, let us all know what your future was!
Did you prepay?? haha
Haha! No we have a webcomic too so that means we don’t have any money either. But he was working for donations that night if that helps. He was accepting whatever. Paypal maybe?
Awesome cover now all I need is the book, and I will be set. I can’t wait to see page one of issue two. And yea Brandie plays more games then me, I just enjoy watching her play
I can only play the computer games that you just click with the mouse.
I had a friend who used to drive giant robots and stuff. He had joysticks with twenty buttons for each hand.
I tried it, but it was harder than driving a real car.
I just want to point and click, and pause with the spacebar.
I love Baldur’s Gate II ! Nice background! Good job on the cover. Looking forward to seeing the next. The comic at the bottom of the page hilarious, keep them coming.
Baldur’s Gate 2 rules! I have downloaded a bunch of the new add-on adventures and characters and quest packs. I even tried one of the total conversions one time.
Thanks Hjörtur! I’ll keep them coming!
It’s always better to yell at each other when you’re playing games.
Hahaha! At first I thought you meant something deep like violence should only be pretend, but then I remembered the ‘playing games together in silence’ line and I busted up laughing.
Bwahahaha! If I was in Austin I’d love your comics. I can’t wait for the book!
Thank you Robin! You of course will be sent a free copy as soon as we have some ourselves!
For being short on time, you sure came up with a sweet result
(looks impressively intricate to me)!
Thanks SpilledInkGuy! I did O.K. I guess. I’m not my own favorite colorist by any means, but when you do it all yourself you do it all yourself. Ha!
It came out a bit browner than I expected but that’s O.K. Ann and Curtis are earth people I guess. Also Earth people, but I think I meant earth people.
Great-looking cover, man. You really know how to take advantage of the time you do have.
Thanks George! We all do what we can.
I don’t know how you do all you do. Full color comics every day?! Wow…
Plus all those altered photographs and bonus stuff and guest comics and…
Amazing. You are the webcomics machine.
Having fun catching up. The cover looks great!
Looking forward to Sword Guys…I have a couple of sword guys living in my house. My backyard is littered in swords of every size, shape and color. You never know when you’re going to run into a bad guy in the suburbs. Fun stuff!
Thank you Nancy! I’m enjoying your posts as well.
It’s true about the swords. I have several myself even though I’m older.
I have a lightsabre made of wooden dowel that I used on a Star Wars fan film.
The movie has yet to be completed.
I accidentally placed a fat goose egg on my good friends forehead with it.
I have some other swords too. Maybe I should make a comic about the swords that I have.
cover is wonderful…looks great
Thanks!
oh man… Baldur’s Gate is sooooooooooo awesome! I also like the old Might and Magic. Classic RPGs rock!
Agreed. I completed Baldur’s Gate 1, Fallout 1, and Diablo 1. They were all great! I’m currently playing Avernum 1 when I can find the time. It’s a blast too. I really liked Ultima: Pagan and I wish they’d developed it proper.
