Hello.

UPDATE:  One of our co-comics with K.A. Polzin is on display over at Funny Times as their Cartoon of the Week.  You can see it by clicking here.

Before I talk about the van, I’ll add this Classic ButterSword Revised comic:

Ha!  Anyway…

The van had a bit of a setback.  It wouldn’t start!

It wasn’t the battery or the starter.  It was the cable!  Now it has a new cable and it’s running great.  We’re really beginning to enjoy it.

At first it was scary.  It was gigantic and we were way up high looking down at everyone.  We still have to get use to looking at a different dashboard for things like how fast we are going and how much gas we have.  It’s all in different places.

We got the rear seats out.

The seat belts in the walls had to be removed by the mechanic at the shop.   I could only get some of the bolts out by hand.  At the shop it took over 400 lbs of torque or something.   I guess they don’t want those things falling out.

So now no one else can ride in our van. :)

I sure am glad those darn holidays are over!

What?!

Heavy sigh.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading ButterSword!  We’ll be back on Monday with another comic page and something extra.

Hey guys love the van. Pretty cool. I am trying to sell my truck myself and get myself something new. I show the van to Brandiewine but all she can joke about is rap van. I keep telling her it is for cons and stuff, she just gives me a look and says rap van. Just to tease me. She is joking of course. But glad its over to and hope to update soon myself. Going threw somethings and been working on some new designs for the site. Plus drawing some new stuff. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year.

Hey Fred! Glad to hear from you.
We don’t know what a rap van is. Ours is a conversion van that has all this family stuff we don’t need. We wanted the windows that slide open at the bottom yet still have a screen so we could get a cross breeze with no insects. Currently we are tearing out the pink and purple interior. Yuck!
Anyway… good to hear you are drawing again.

  2. Bearman says:

Wow your van has cable? What do you watch? How long is the extension cord?

    • MC/Curtis says:

It actually has a coaxial inside on a floor gadget with two 12 volt sockets, but we don’t know what it’s for! Stupid conversion van companies! Manual?! Hello?!?

For television we think we’ll be using a 5 1/2″ B&W portable with a type 1 Roku box. So at wifi locations we can watch Netflicks. Possibly a portable dvd player for Redbox, but we haven’t decided.

  3. Binky says:

I guess the comment for both those comics would be “Heads up!” And hopefully no one will be losing theirs.

You know, if you took out the front seats, too, driving the van would be much more of an adventure.

    • MC/Curtis says:

Driving might be complicated, but we would have more living space. We’ll have to consider that. :) We are currently having an ‘adventure’ with getting the base plates for these rear captain’s chairs out of our way.

  4. Tony McGurk says:

Uh Oh, closing eyes, can’t watch, the sight of blood makes me feel funny…
That disc to the head had to hurt

  5. Judith says:

ooops lost my avatar, …wifi, netflicks…whoohoo

    • MC/Curtis says:

We haven’t repaired that aspect of the website since the move yet. I would have done it today but… I don’t remember how I did it. I’ll have to find some time.
